YAMAHA ADVANTAGE

The Yamaha Boat Advantage

From bow to stern, Yamaha boats are truly unique. Just look around at competitive boats and what do you see? A wash of generic white hulls all powered by the same engines with the same boat design.
Now look at a Yamaha boat with its award-winning stern lounge area, wide bow area, well-appointed cockpit, enormous storage space, and standard feature list and you can see the difference. It's no wonder why Yamaha boats are outselling the stern drive and inboard competition to become the number one selling boat brand between 20-25 feet. Once you experience this new boating experience, there is no going back.

Yamaha Marine Engines

Yamaha marine engines have an undisputed reputation for reliability, fuel economy, and performance. All Yamaha boats today meet EPA emission regulations at no additional expense to the customer. Not so for stern drive boats (and inboard powered boats) that saw a several thousand dollar price increase for the addition of catalytic converters - a cost that is more often than not being passed right down to the consumer.

Precision Manufacturing

Yamaha deploys state of the art robotics in the manufacturing of our hulls and decks. Using precision laser guidance, the robots are able to cut and drill each hull and deck to exact specifications, ensuring each boat is built the same down to the smallest measurement.

Swallow Draft

Because of the internal engine design, Yamaha boats are able to navigate in shallow water, so you have the freedom to explore parts of the water a traditional stern-drive wouldn't be able to reach.

Handling & Maneuverability

Read any boat test and you'll find that handling and maneuverability are among the best attributes of Yamaha boats. According to BoatingĀ® magazine, "In idle zones, we engaged the No Wake Modeā„¢ and both engines set themselves at 2,500 rpm for optimum low-speed control. Around the docks, dual controls provided exceptional maneuverability."

Low Swim Platform

With Yamaha's internal propulsion and compact engine design, our innovative swim platform rests at the water level, allowing you and your family to get in and out of the water with ease.

Compact Engine Design

Unlike stern-drive engines that gobble up precious real estate inside the cockpit and at the stern, Yamaha's compact, lightweight engines allow Yamaha to design a deck layout that is much more functional and comfortable than conventional stern drive boats. Also, the lighter weight of the engines contributes to Yamaha boats' better power to weight ratio and class-leading fuel economy.

More Fun to Drive

Yamaha boats deliver class-leading acceleration and top speed. The time to plane and 0-30mph acceleration takes half the time as comparable stern-drive boats. And because Yamaha boats weigh 1/3 less than many comparable models, Yamaha boats are more responsive, more nimble, and more fun to drive - not to mention easier to tow.

Better Value

This is easy. You could pay $20,000 more for comparable models and still not get all the features that come standard on a Yamaha boat. Yamaha boats are all-inclusive to include an array of features, including the trailer, that many other boat companies consider optional.
